End User License Agreement (EULA)
IMPORTANT: READ CAREFULLY BEFORE INSTALLING OR USING BUDDYVOX
This End User License Agreement (“Agreement”) is a legal agreement between you (“User”) and BuddyIT (“Licensor”) for the BuddyVox software (“Software”).
By installing or using the Software, you agree to be bound by this Agreement.
1. Grant of License
Subject to the terms of this Agreement, Licensor grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to:
a) Install and use the Software on one (1) computer
b) Make one (1) backup copy for archival purposes
c) Use the Software for personal or commercial purposes
2. License Restrictions
You may NOT:
a) Copy, modify, or distribute the Software
b) Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Software
c) Rent, lease, lend, or sublicense the Software
d) Remove or alter any proprietary notices
e) Use the Software to violate any laws
f) Transfer your license to another person
3. Ownership
The Software is licensed, not sold. Licensor retains all intellectual property rights in the Software. Your license grants usage rights only.
4. Third-Party Components
The Software includes:
- Whisper AI models — provided under MIT License
- FFmpeg — provided under LGPL License
- Other open-source components — see LICENSES.txt in the installation directory
5. Trial Version
If you’re using a trial version:
- Trial is limited to 14 days from first activation
- All features are available during trial
- After trial expiration, you must purchase a license to continue use
6. Activation and Hardware Binding
The Software requires one-time activation. Your license is bound to your hardware using a one-way hash. Changing computers requires a license reset (contact support).
7. Updates
Licensor may provide updates to the Software. Updates are subject to this Agreement unless accompanied by a new agreement.
8. Support
Support is provided via email. Response times:
- Personal License: Best-effort (typically 48-72 hours)
- Professional License: Priority support (typically 24-48 hours)
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NONINFRINGEMENT.
LICENSOR DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE SOFTWARE WILL BE ERROR-FREE OR UNINTERRUPTED.
10. Limitation of Liability
IN NO EVENT SHALL LICENSOR BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF THE USE OR INABILITY TO USE THE SOFTWARE, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
LICENSOR’S TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT PAID FOR THE SOFTWARE.
11. Termination
This Agreement is effective until terminated. It will terminate automatically if you fail to comply with any term. Upon termination, you must destroy all copies of the Software.
12. Governing Law
This Agreement shall be governed by the laws of Poland, without regard to conflicts of law principles.
13. Entire Agreement
This Agreement constitutes the entire agreement between you and Licensor concerning the Software and supersedes all prior agreements.
